2023 Season Recap: Skate After School
“As we reflect back on the 2023 skateboarding season, our hearts fill with gratitude and joy.”
During the 2023 season, our team was able to safely accommodate nearly 300 students across 18 South Bay Area schools. All equipment, including skateboards and safety gear were provided with zero serious injuries reported. This past year, our team focused on safety and the various ways a skateboard can be enjoyed.
Key words such as, ‘Respect, Awareness, Confidence, Style, Creativity, and Persistence’ were introduced as “The Word of the Day” for each class. We noticed students reciprocating these words in their dialogue during moments when students needed to overcome fears and learn from their mistakes.
